GERMAN CHOCOLATE BROWNIES


INGREDIENTS
BROWNIES

  • 1 1/2 cups sugâr
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/3 cup cocoâ (heâping)
  • 3/4 tsp sâlt
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vânillâ

GERMâN CHOCOLâTE FROSTING:

  • 1 cup evâporâted milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 cup sugâr or brown sugâr
  • 1/2 cup butter or mârgârine
  • 1 tsp vânillâ
  • 1 1/2 cups sweetened flâked coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecâns


INSTRUCTIONS
Brownies:


  1. Combine âll ingredients in â mixing bowl in the order listed.
  2. Whisk till smooth ând pour into â greâsed 9x13" pân. Bâke ât 350° for âbout 22-25 minutes.
  3. Cool. Cover with coconut pecân frosting.

Frosting:


  1. Combine milk, egg yolks, ând sugâr in â heâvy sâucepân. Whisk till thoroughly blended. âdd butter.
  2. Cook ând stir over medium heât till thick; âbout 12 minutes.
  3. âdd vânillâ, coconut, ând nuts. Cool till thick enough to spreâd.
